9. Jake Gyllenhaal - Love his chest!
8. Bill Murray - Well, just because some say we resemble one another.
7. Rob Lowe - He has gotten so much better with age.
6. Leonardo Dicaprio - Another that has gotten better with age.
5. Viggo Mortensen - He can speak in several languages!
4. Brad Pitt - But Angelina would have to go, and all those kids!
3. James Marsden - As long as he takes me on the set of X-Men
2. Chris Evans - Another hot chest!

Need a Day Off?

When I worked as a manager I heard all kinds of excuses from my staff regarding unscheduled days off. From being sick, to even death, yes people have lied about a family member dying to get a day off. Unbelieveable, but true.

Do you ever wake up in the morning and feel like just crawling back into to bed and taking the day off? We all have, and probably will again. Well, a company in Japan is now providing a day off if your relationship comes to an end. I'm not talking about a death, or a divorce, but just breaking up with your boyfriend can get you that much needed day off.

Could you imagine how many days you'd have to give to your lesbian employees??

Musical Desks

The company I work for is having growing pains. Which is a good thing for all of us. When I started employment there a little over a year ago they had about 85 employees. Currently we now have probably over 125 employees. Some of the departments have had to even move to a separate location.

My dear work wife (she posts here all the time as anonymous...) was one that had to relocate her desk to allow expansion of our department. She and I have sat next to one another for almost a year. Needless to say after one week of her being transplanted to a different area of the office, I was somewhat lonely. I miss her daily musings of what she will do for lunch, (Burrito Baby!!) or how her "roomates" (children) were the night before. I also miss her sweet little laugh and giggle and the ability to put a smile on my face when I am so busy I can't breathe.

I am sure it will not change our relationship. But as my work wife, and due to my jealous nature, I need to make sure she is not cheating on me. Then again, I don't think I have to worry too much, seeing how there are only 6 or 7 other men in the entire office.

Thirteen Things I've Learnt About People and Human Nature

1) People are not always what they seem.

2) People have secrets that if found out, they think will lose them friends; and they are probably right.

3) Women are more honest about personal issues, whereas Men are more honest about work related issues.

4) True friends are few and far between.

5) Most heterosexual men are not secure in their sexuality around gay men.

6) Most heterosexual women can feel at ease and comfortable with gay men.

7) Never discuss religion and politics in a social setting.

8) Women are just as concerned about their careers as men, some even more so.

9) People will lie if put up against the wall.

10) Unconditional love can be found, but it is extremely rare.

11) Men are more willing to help out their friend financially than women.

12)Women are more willing to help out a friend emotionally than men.

13) This would be a terrible place to live if we were all alike and didn't have our friends.

Moment of Truth

I just watched the new FOX show The Moment Of Truth. I had hoped that this show would have lived up to all it's hype and looking forward to being entertained by the contestants spilling their guts in embarrassing fashion. After about 5 minutes of the way through, the novelty had faded, and I grew weary of the same old reality show ploys. The long pauses. The dramatic music. The clunky editing. The contestants and their family visibly being dragged along. And just when you manage to overlook all those flaws and get engrossed in what’s happening, they stop everything and cut to commercial.
They did ask some pretty bold questions. Sure, there are several ridiculously easy ones that are of no consequence to the contestants, but there some delving relationship questions that remind us of the nature of the human behavior. But then again, this is all contrived and rigged and the family knows the same. However when the first contestant got beat by "lying" he went to his wife to share a kiss and she visibly pushed him away. Was it the fact that he lied about touching some of his female clients a "little more" than what was required? Or was it due to the fact he doesn't want to have children with her because he is not sure she is his "lifelong partner"?

I doubt that i’ll tune in again . It would work much better with a faster pace in a half hour format. So my moment of truth is, just give me American Idol!

Tragic Hollywood News

heath.jpgHeath Ledger was found dead Tuesday at a downtown Manhattan apartment, and police said drugs may have been a factor. The Australian-born actor was 28. Police said Ledger was naked in his bed with an unknown number of sleeping pills near the body.Ledger had an appointment for a massage at a residence in the tony SoHo neighborhood, NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said. A housekeeper who went to let him know the massage therapist had arrived found him dead at 3:26 p.m.

One of this generations most outstanding, multi-facted and talented stars has faded away too soon.

I caught this little quiz from one of my blogger friends. It just asks a few questions that are the highpoints of this years Presidential Elections, then it tabulates your answers with the candidates stance and shows you with whom you are more aligned. Be careful and honest how you answer you may be suprised!

The Reason Why...

Well hello! I have been told that I need to update my blog. I was excited actually. I didn't think anyone was even reading it, but I get not one but several requests to update??? Great! Thanks for reading, but since my last post things have went a little...crazy.

First of all my grand-daughter was hospitalized after a high fever caused by an ear infection caused her to go into seizures. We found out that this is somewhat common when infants have a spike in a fever. However, Alana continued to seize almost 50 minutes, which caused concern for the medical professionals treating her and fear for her parents. But everything is back to normal in my daughter's household, Alana is back home with no ill side effects. Mommy is doing well after the scare and the new baby is due February 29th. A Leap year baby.

Then last week I caught my own bug, Thursday I awoke to flu-like symptoms and continued to get worse as the day progressed and finally had to leave work and miss Friday. I was sick most of the weekend, finally feeling somewhat back to normal on Sunday.

So all the sickness has passed for the year. Let's hope anyway. It's not even the middle of January and I have had enough to do me the rest of the year. Think positive, right?

So that is my lame excuse for not blogging as often as I had promised, but for those of you out there that do read my postings, I will continue to try and stay well, and post more often.

Speaking of posting, it's that time of the year for all those awards shows. You all know how I love them, and I was deeply hurt that the Golden Globes were cancelled, but the winners were still announced and no suprises in my mind. Like the winners, Daniel Day-Lewis and Johnny Depp. Moveis like Sweeny Todd and Atonement. I just pray that the Oscars do not get cancelled. OMG! What will I do on Oscar night???

Off To A Great Start

So far, 2008 is off to a great start. This is the first year in sometime that I didn't spend the holidays sick!! YEAH! The first day of the year began lounging in bed until noon and then watching TV and playing on the computer. What a better way to spend the day, right? I loved it! Back to work today after a longer than normal ride in due to the ice and snow on the roads, but all was well.

Busy at work, the way I like it. Makes the day go faster and keeps me out of trouble. Tonight we celebrated DJ's little sister's birthday at Olive Garden. She turned 17 today. The rest of the week is filled with more dinners and post Christmas get togethers. Seeing Midget tomorrow night and Silver on Friday. So the week is planned. Then the weekend.

I wanted to be a little more active in 2008, so if the first week is any indication, it looks as though it's off to a good start.

Hope your New Years was great as well.

Check out my new grand kids pics from Christmas. It's so hard to believe they are so big already. The new grand baby will be here next month. Time flies!
