The Tudors

I love my cable TV!! For a long time we never had cable. No reason, we just seldom watched TV, but since moving into our new place in October we decided it was time to invest in having good television. And what an eye opening experience. I love Showtime! Between Dexter and Tudors, I'm not sure what I love the best. But the real reason I love these shows besides the great acting talents of the stars, the mind blowing plots and the expansive sets and fabulous cinematography are their stars!! Of course the male stars.

We have JONATHAN RHYS MEYERS who stars as the lead, Henry the VIII in The Tudors. Albeit he is hot and there is just something very sexual about him, but MICHAEL C. HALL as the serial killer/crime scene blood expert Dexter is just hotter. It may be due to the locale of the story, but he is much hotter in this show than he was on HBO's Six Feet Under! But the main reason Tudors win me over is this guy!!

Yes, Henry Cavill...Mercy me!! I first became aware of this hot actor in The Count of Monte Cristo, but my how he has grown up!
And if season one is any indication on how we will get to experience life in the King's Court through his escapades... well tune in next Sunday at 9:00 p.m. for the first episode of the Second Season and see what I'm talking about!

Thursday Thirteen #21

I honor of my new Grand-Daughter Alyssa;
Thirteen Things I Had Forgotten About a New Baby.
1) They sleep A LOT! But only during the day of course.
2) They SHIT A LOT!!
3) They are really not smiling at you, that is gas.
4) You really should not push on that soft spot in their heads.
5) They do not understand baby talk any more than the rest of us.
6) When crying, they really don't care who you are as long as you are giving them the bottle.
7) They really do know the sound of mommy's voice.
8) The terrible twos are just around the corner.
9) No, they don't look like grandpa!!
10) The whole navel thing!! I completely forgot about that!!
11) Toys do not interest them, at least not yet.
12) They are so tiny
13) There is noting more precious than holding a newborn in your arms.

Happy St. Patricks!

Sorry for the lack of posts, but busy times lately. Busy at work, busy with family, just busy.
But I did take some time out tonight to celebrate St. Patty's Day with "midget". We went to a friendly neighborhood bar and then to dinner. Some quality time with a quality person. And no, we didn't have any green beer....

Snowbound

Well no one seemed to listen to my blog post a few days back in regards to I was over winter! It all started Friday morning and by Friday night we had about 8-9 inches on the ground and by this morning we had over 12 inches.

Needless to say 12 inches of snow is not as good as 12 inches of other things!! I left work Friday at 11:00 and what takes a 40 minute commute, took me over an hour and a half. The city was immobilized for a few hours, but as you can see from this picture, some people are out driving in this mess. Our road was finally plowed a little while ago, but we are unable to get our cars out of the parking lot, as they plowed snow in behind them.

We were under a Blizzard warning most of the night and early morning.

But it still was not as bad as the Great Blizzard of 1978. Now that was a Blizzard!!

Time for a Change

Tomorrow is election day here in Ohio and over the entire state men, women and some new voters who have just turned 18 will be casting their votes tomorrow for a plethera of causes, levies, council members and yes even who they want to run for President of the United States come November.

Most of you that read my blog know I do not (or at least not very often) use my blog for a political stand, but I want you t listen to this video from Ellen Degeneres. Regardless of how you feel about her or her own political views, I think her point is clear and very important. Before you cast your vote tomorrow and if you feel that every person is entitled to the same rights as every other person in this wonderful country, which is to live without fear, make sure the person you are voting for truly has those same beliefs. Please. We should not lose anymore of our young boys or girls due to hate brought on by ignorance.

Four Generations
